On May 22, Seattle Sounders defender Chad Marshall announced his retirement from professional soccer, concluding a prolific 16-year career that saw him play for the Columbus Crew and the Seattle Sounders, in addition to the U.S. Men's National Team.
Arguably the most accomplished defender in the history of MLS, Marshall is set to be honored on Saturday, June 29 in a pre-match ceremony before the Sounders take on the Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 7:00 p.m. PT (JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). The only three-time MLS Defender of the Year winner, Marshall won two MLS Cups and four Supporters’ Shield titles during his illustrious career.
