CenturyLink Field has a new playing surface just in time for Tuesday's CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal against Club America. As it has always been, FieldTurf has again supplied the surface, this time with what is being billed as their latest and greatest product, "Revolution 360."
While there are numerous stadiums around the world that use FieldTurf products -- including Gillette Stadium and Providence Park in MLS -- CenturyLink will apparently be the first stadium to use this version. Obviously only time will tell how well it plays and holds up under the duress of not just soccer, but football and various other events, but the company's literature suggests that it is better than past versions that wore down noticeably over their lifespans.
