Atlanta United Pursuing Mexican International Guardado

Andés Guardado has made 127 appearances for the Mexican National Team since his debut in 2005 at the age of 18. In those 127 appearances, Guardado has scored 24 goals for El Tri and won the 2011 and 2015 Gold Cup with Mexico. He currently plays for PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

The report that Guardado was being pursued by Atlanta United first came out in May when the Mexican National team was training in Atlanta for the Copa America. In this report, John Surcliffe reported that the future expansion team was pursuing Guardado as well as Carlos Vela, another Mexican International who currently plays for Real Sociedad.
