Sounder at Heart reported Sunday night that the Sounders have placed a bid for San Lorenzo’s Sebastián Blanco. The initial report from Olé.com says that Seattle’s bid didn’t meet the price tag that San Lorenzo has placed on Blanco so the negotiations between the two sides continue and a new bid from the Sounders could come as soon as today. TransferMarket.com predicts Blanco’s current market value at about $4.75million so Seattle would have to increase their bid a little more than the reported $2million they offered for Blanco.
One thing that hasn’t been made known is whether or not this is bid for Blanco is one that goes with Lodeiro or if talks with Lodeiro have broken down and Blanco would be his replacement.
