One streak ends, one streak continues.
Sounders FC’s MLS-record streak of consecutive minutes without allowing a goal from the run of play ended at 949 minutes on Saturday, but a 2-2 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps extends the Rave Green’s unbeaten run to 11 matches (7-0-4; 25 points). The impressive run is just one result shy of matching the club’s longest in regular-season action, and it already marks the club’s best start since joining MLS in 2009.
Despite it not being counted as a loss, Saturday’s result felt that way for Head Coach Brian Schmetzer.
