In honor of 2019 MLS Greener Goals Week of Service, Sounders FC and RAVE Foundation visited Shorewood Elementary in Burien. Working with Washington Green Schools, Sounders FC worked with students and volunteers on a wide range of projects, which included building garden beds, a compost bin and garden benches; installing a reflection garden and natural playscape for students to enjoy; creating planters from reused milk cartons; prepping and planting garden beds; and weeding and mulching in front of the school. Sounders FC goalkeeper Bryan Meredith worked alongside second grade students to plant vegetables and flowers in the newly created garden beds.
