Inspired by Atlanta and New York City’s Hip Hop Starting XI for each respective city, 107.7 The End released an All-Seattle Music Starting XI featuring some of the Emerald City’s beloved artists.
The task was to create a lineup using Seattle Sounders head coach Brian Schmetzer’s 4-2-3-1 formation. The only two stipulations are that the musician has to be alive and does not need to be male. Below is how The End visualized the formation:
GK: Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses)
RB: Sir Mix-a-Lot
CB: Nancy Wilson
CB: Ann Wilson
LB: Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie)
CM: Chris Cornell (Soundgarden)
CM: Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters)
RM: Carrie Brownsein (Sleater-Kinney)
CAM: Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam)
LM: Macklemore
FW: Mike McCready (Pearl Jam)
SUBSTITUTES:
GK: Father John Misty, Chris Ballew (POTUSA)
D: Kenny G, Dave Matthews, Will Toledo (Car Seat Headrest)
M: Kris Orlowski, Robin Pecknold (Fleet Foxes)
F: Detlef Schrempf, Ryan Lewis
So who'd be in your starting XI?
