The Seattle Seahawks may have lost to the Panthers in the playoffs, but they're still expected to be a Super Bowl contender again next year. The draft is at the forefront of the minds of everyone in Seattle's front office as they try to fix a few weaknesses, and they have a chance to really upgrade their roster. Here are three players they should target in the first round of the draft.
OT Taylor Decker
The Seahawk offensive line improved late, but more help is needed, especially with the free agency losses. Decker could very well still be on the board when the Seahawks pick, and if they do, they will jump all over it. At 6'7" and 310 lbs, Decker has exceptional size and strength to go along with being extremely tough. He may need time to adjust to the speed on the NFL, but his overall strength and powerful drive will make him a very, very good player right away.
DT Andrew Billings
Billings finally became a consistent performance for Baylor last season and he made a huge impact as a result, picking up 14.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. The 6'2", 300-pounder is a workout warrior and will turn heads at the combine, where he can demonstrate his surprising quickness. Head coach Pete Carroll loves players like this, and Billings has all of the potential to be a future Pro Bowler.
CB Mackensie Alexander
Alexander could be gone by the time Seattle picks, but the Seahawks have made him a top target. Seattle has been looking for a second cornerback to pair with Richard Sherman even since they lost Byron Maxwell last offseason, and Alexander is an agressive prospect who is excellent in man-to-man coverage - making him a perfect fit for Seattle. If Alexander is gone, taking someone like Ohio State's Eli Apple makes sense.
