With the 220th pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected quarterback Alex McGough out of Florida International.
This is the first passer the club has drafted since picking Russell Wilson in the third round in 2012, and should serve as competition with Austin Davis, Stephen Morris or any undrafted rookies or additional free agents for Wilson’s backup spot in 2018—and perhaps leverage for Wilson’s future contract negotiations.
McGough is one of six FIU players to earn Honorable Mention All-Conference honors.
