Friday Kenneth took a dive into some of the names who could potentially be traded in the coming weeks as the Seattle Seahawks prepare for roster cuts. Today I’m taking a quick look at how often the Hawks make a move to acquire a player late in the preseason, specifically at certain positions. The big name move that the team made in 2017, the acquisition of Sheldon Richardson from the New York Jets, was of course, largely driven by the unfortunate injury with Malik McDowell.
In addition, acquiring a big name player like Richardson via trade was a departure from the normal course of operations for Seattle, who have far more often acquired a much lesser known name for the defense in recent seasons.
