The Seattle Seahawks and defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin have agreed to terms on a three-year contract, a league source has confirmed.
Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports first reported the deal.
After the season, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll emphasized that the team's priority was to try and retain some of the team's key pieces. Rubin was one of seven starters scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. While he's certainly not the biggest name on the Seahawks, Rubin was a key cog in the team's run defense, which limited opponents to 3.6 yards per carry last season.
