What do Seahawks' signings of Marcel Reece, Jeron Johnson mean?

The Seahawks made a handful of roster moves Tuesday as they prepare for a road matchup with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday that will kick off the final quarter of their regular season.

Seattle officially placed free safety Earl Thomas on injured reserve, ending the three-time All-Pro's season after he suffered a fractured tibia in the second quarter Sunday's win over the Carolina Panthers. To add some depth to its secondary, the team re-signed safety Jeron Johnson, who played in 46 games with the Seahawks from 2011 to 2014.

Fullback Marcel Reece also officially joined the squad after reports of his imminent signing broke on Monday.
