In Week 10, the Seahawks made a move on defense many fans had long been clamoring for: Shaquem Griffin got an opportunity on defense in a pass rushing role. The sophomore Griffin’s opportunity meant he would join his twin brother Shaquill, who enjoyed a breakout third-season, on defense.
From Week 10 onward, Shaquem Griffin proved to be a valuable pass rusher in a rotation, constantly causing havoc with his speed and creating opportunities for rushers around him. The only thing missing from his first season of action on defense was a sack.
In Seattle’s playoff loss to the Packers, that sack finally came.
