Former Seahawks' cornerback/safety Walter Thurmond has called it a career. This has been rumored for a few months, but until now we hadn't heard anything official.
The 28-year old defensive back has retired after six seasons in the league, and will pursue other passions. Per SportingNews:
Thurmond, 28, appears to have plans for life after football, as he's been involved in filmmaking. He has produced three films already and has his name attached to three more. He also is directing a documentary with singer-songwriter Eddie Levert, who was the lead singer for the R&B group The O'Jays.
