You may have heard the incredible story of Toni Harris, the young woman who played as a safety at East Los Angeles College. She starred in a Super Bowl commercial for the Toyota RAV4, and recently received a scholarship to play at NAIA school Central Methodist University, becoming the first non-specialist woman to sign a letter of intent to play college football. (Rebecca Longo signed a letter of intent to be kicker for Adams State University, but hasn’t played in a game yet)
Harris has not only broken down barriers, she has battled ovarian cancer, going into remission in 2017.
