The Seattle Seahawks gave up two first-round picks, a third-rounder, and Bradley McDougald for versatile former New York Jets safety Jamal Adams. A steep price to pay for one of the sport’s rising stars but one the Seahawks felt they had to make.
One of the unique skills Adams possesses is his ability to rush the passer. He is a prolific blitzer and has been part of the solution to the Seahawks’ pass rushing woes. This season he’s racked up a career-high 9.5 sacks, which is tied for 7th in the entire NFL. Lest we forget that he missed four games due to injury and yet he’s still on his way to double digit sacks.
