The New York Giants made two additions to the list of notable cuts ahead of the 2017 NFL offseason by releasing wide receiver Victor Cruz and running back Rashad Jennings on Monday.
Cruz, 30, worked his way back from a torn patellar tendon that cost him 26 consecutive games in 2014 and 2015 to play in 15 games last season, but understandably didn't look like the player he was before the injury. The former Pro Bowler had salary cap numbers of $9.4 million in 2017 and $8.5 million in 2018, making the decision to release him a no-brainer.
