Sunday night the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots with a goal line stop from the one yard line for the second time in five seasons. The win moved Seattle to 2-0, keeping pace with the Los Angeles Rams and the Arizona Cardinals, which each improved to 2-0 with a win Sunday.
However, in spite of the victory over Cam Newton, the game could prove to be a costly win for the team due to the number of serious injuries suffered. Specifically, Pete Carroll confirmed that the Hawks will be without both Marquise Blair and Bruce Irvin for the remainder of the season as they both suffered a torn ACL.
