With so much talk surrounding what NFL players are or aren’t actively doing in the community right now, it seems like a great time to highlight the fact that many of them are in fact quite charitable. We know about Russell Wilson’s relationship with Seattle Children’s, Cliff Avril’s Haiti project, Michael Bennett’s work in Hawaii, Pete Carroll leading the way in giving back to most any community he strolls through, but of course they aren’t alone.
This week, it was Tyler Lockett who drew some headlines for his charitable work.
Lockett made an appearance at White Center Heights Elementary in Seattle, unveiling a new playground for their Head Start program, thanks to a $15,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare to Lockett’s Dreambuilders Foundation.
