Tom Cable’s faith in Seahawks’ revamped offensive line rewarded during offensive surge

The Seahawks have scored 29 or more points in four consecutive games for the first time since 1986 with an offensive line featuring one first-round pick, one second-round pick, a seventh-rounder and two undrafted free agents Lewis.

Tom Cable, the Seahawks’ offensive-line coach, never wavered.

In September before the season began and many/most/all wondered what the Seahawks were doing with an offensive line that had three starters at new spots, two of whom essentially were rookies, Cable said: “I think this might be, before it’s all said and done, the best group I’ve had.’’

In October, when that group was allowing sacks at a rate to threaten all-time NFL records, he said, “When they get it going, they are going to be really good.
