Thomas Rawls, who in 2015 appeared on the verge of becoming one of Seattle’s brightest future stars, is now officially a former Seahawk, signing on Friday with the New York Jets.
The Jets announced the signing via Twitter though no details had yet to be released.
It hadn’t been expected that Rawls would be back when the Seahawks declined to tender him as a restricted free agent earlier this month, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Any faint chance of Rawls staying with the Seahawks probably ended when Seattle last week re-signed Mike Davis to a one-year contract worth up to $1.
