The contract extension talks between the Seattle Seahawks and quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason have been rockier than many expected, but one thing’s for certain: The three-year veteran has been an absolute steal for the team thus far.
Wilson is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, which will pay him a total of $2,997,774, $1,696,868 in 2015. He and agent Mark Rodgers are reportedly seeking a deal that will make him one of the highest-paid players in the NFL, but until that happens Wilson remains perhaps the biggest bargain in the league.
Thirty-seven quarterbacks are scheduled to make a higher salary than Wilson in 2015, according to data from OverTheCap.
