Seattle Seahawks legend and fan favorite Cliff Avril will have a television role for the team’s locally produced preseason broadcasts.
Per the recently published media guide, Avril “will provide analysis throughout the Seahawks broadcast.” The former defensive end won a Super Bowl in his first season in Seattle, having started his career with the Detroit Lions. An unfortunate neck injury prematurely ended his playing days in 2017, but he’s remained heavily involved in the Seattle community. If you watched the Champions of Change celebrity basketball game at Climate Pledge Arena, you probably saw Cliff’s son Xavier lighting it up from 3-point range.
