With one contest remaining in the 2016 regular season, the Seattle Seahawks still don't know if they will be playing in the opening weekend of the postseason or getting an extra week of rest.
At 13-2, the Dallas Cowboys have locked up home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Seattle (9-5-1) was the conference's No. 2 seed entering play last weekend, but the team's 34-31 home loss to Arizona on Christmas Eve, plus Atlanta's 31-16 win over Carolina, elevated the Falcons (10-5) to the second seed.
There's still hope Seattle could earn a week off. To do that, the Seahawks would need to beat the San Francisco 49ers on the road Sunday, plus hope the New Orleans Saints take care of the Falcons in Atlanta.
