Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported on Wednesday that Seahawks offseason free agent signee and edge rusher Ziggy Ansah will be active for training camp. Since Ansah signed with Seattle there has been speculation that he might not be ready for week one of the regular season. With Ansah being listed as active for day one of training camp, it seems likely that Ansah will be ready to go week one.
After it was reported that defensive tackle Jarran Reed would be suspended for the first six games of 2019 for a domestic assault issue, it became even more important that the Seahawks have as many pass rushers healthy as possible early in the season.
