For the second time in three weeks, the Seahawks delivered an uncharacteristically flat performance against a divisional opponent. In Week 14, it was in Los Angeles against the troublesome Rams; in Week 16, it was the pesky Cardinals. Of course, Seattle was not helped by the string of injuries that came after kickoff, nor the ones which held out several key players before kickoff, but it does not excuse a dreadful showing.
The injuries and bizarre nature of the Seahawks’ Week 16 loss led to some interesting snap counts, which we’ll get into here:
- In the first game since Josh Gordon’s suspension, Malik Turner paced the wide receiver corps behind Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, playing 51 percent of snaps.
