Instead, the shorthanded defense allowed the Detroit Lions to put 42 points on the board while moving the ball to the tune of 7.8 yards per play. Jared Goff finished an amazing night 18 of 18 for 292 yards and a pair of touchdowns, along with a touchdown reception of his own on seven yard completion from Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Seattle fans will be quick to point out the loss came as the team was missing five key members of the defensive front seven, and that is absolutely true.
