It’s been three years since the Seattle Seahawks selected Germain Ifedi in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and the team now has just two weeks remaining before the May 3 deadline to pick up his fifth year option should they decide to do so. While many fans would be more than happy to move on from Ifedi, there is debate about who would step in and take over in 2020 if the team decides it’s not in their best interest to keep Ifedi around.
There is, of course, George Fant, who has signed his restricted free agent tender, so is now under contract for 2019, but just like Ifedi is schedule to be an unrestricted free agent after the 2019 season.
