A few more thoughts on the Seattle Seahawks' win over the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, including what happened with cornerback Cary Williams.
A little time on a rainy Tuesday to look at some of the film from Sunday’s game and pass along a few notes:
— One of the more interesting subplots of Sunday’s game was the third quarter benching of starting cornerback Cary Williams, signed as a free agent in the off-season to a three-year contract worth $18 million, with $7 million guaranteed.
It was a rare move for Pete Carroll — about the only time I remember something quite like this came in 2013 when Brandon Browner was benched for part of the second quarter against the Titans.
