After spending their first eight picks on improving the running game and run defense, the Seahawks selected Cal wide receiver Kenny Lawler in the seventh round with the 243rd overall selection Saturday.
Lawler declared for the NFL draft after a junior season in which he was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection, totaling 52 catches for 658 yards and a team-high 13 receiving touchdowns in 12 games.
The Seahawks acquired the pick after trading with the Patriots Saturday morning.
Minutes later, the Seahawks used their final pick -- 246th overall -- on Clemson running back Zac Brooks. He played in 14 games this past season, rushing 42 times for 242 yards and three touchdowns and hauling in eight catches for 105 yards and two scores.
