The Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday signed running back Zac Brooks to the practice squad, releasing wide receiver Antwan Goodley to clear a spot.
The move comes after coach Pete Carroll said Monday that running back Thomas Rawls, who missed last week's 37-18 win over the 49ers, has a fracture in his fibula, which could sideline him for a month.
The Seahawks selected Brooks in the seventh-round of this year's NFL draft, but the Clemson product failed to make the roster. Limited by a hamstring injury during camp, Brooks received limited playing time in two preseason games, rushing six times for 17 yards and catching one pass for four hashes.
