Seattle Seahawks sign Chase Coffman to fill tight end void, waive center Drew Nowak

The Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday signed Chase Coffman to help fill the void at tight end created by the season-ending injury suffered Sunday by Jimmy Graham. Seattle made room on the 53-man roster by waiving center Drew Nowak, who was the team’s opening day starter at that spot but has since lost the job to Patrick Lewis and has been inactive the past three games. Nowak had seven starts this season for the Seahawks.

Coffman has played in 36 games since 2010 with the Bengals, Falcons and Titans before being released by the Titans earlier this season.
