Throughout the offseason, one of the major stories not only around the Seattle Seahawks’ facilities, but the entire NFL was the state of the contract negotiation between quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seahawks’ organization. For months different reports surfaced stating the negotiation would be over any day, or that the two sides were too far apart, and it started to seem like these lengthy talks were going nowhere fast.
Finally, after setting a deadline for when negotiations would have to end between both sides just before the start of training camp, Seattle and Wilson came to an agreement on a four-year extension which would pay Wilson $87.
