The best training camp story in the NFL ended early. The Seattle Seahawks have released 34 year old rookie long snapper Nate Boyer.
The former Green Beret was trying to make Seattle roster as an undrafted free agent, but faced an uphill battle to unseat Clint Gresham. Unfortunately, his journey ended today.
This story was broken by Jay Glazer:
NFL is a tough business. Seahawks released Nate Boyer, needing roster spot to replace an injured player. Backup long snapper, regardless of back story, is always most expendable. #warrior
The Seahawks have run into a glut of injuries lately, and needed the to add players at CB, LB and QB.
