The Seattle Seahawks have released wide receiver Josh Gordon, who was suspended indefinitely, and tight end Greg Olsen, a source told ESPN's Field Yates on Thursday.
The moves were considered procedural, with Gordon having joined another league and Olsen having already announced his retirement on Jan. 24.
Gordon is joining the startup Fan Controlled Football league as a member of the FCF Zappers, team owner Bob Menery told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.
His on-again, off-again NFL career ran into another roadblock last month when, as a member of the Seahawks, he was suspended indefinitely after the league rescinded his conditional reinstatement.
