The New Orleans Saints held the Seattle Seahawks to a failed fourth down try with no time left to win 25-20 Sunday, as Russell Wilson’s last ditch pass to Jermaine Kearse flew out of reach on the last play.
The Saints scored to take their first lead 22-17 lead with 12:24 to go in the game and the teams traded field goals before the Seahawks’ final drive started inside the two-minute warning. Wilson directed the offense to the New Orleans 10-yard line but had to spend two downs spiking the football to stop the clock.
Early on it looked like an opportunity for an easy road win.
