Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett played pretty much as usual in Sunday’s 36-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals despite having not been with the team on Wednesday to get an injection in a big toe that has caused him problems all season.
In fact, he statistically had one of his best games of the season with five quarterback hits, which included being credited with half a sack.
But Bennett said it was actually touch-and-go whether he could play against the Cardinals.
“Yeah it was up in the air,” he said. “For me, I am a competitor and I want to put us in the situation and be able to play through the pain.
