Bobby Wagner appears ready for the regular season.
With the Seahawks trailing 7-3 late in Friday’s second quarter in Kansas City, the middle linebacker intercepted a pass from Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown.
The pick six gave the Seahawks their first lead — 10-7, after the extra point — after the offense struggled for much of the first half.
Either Smith didn’t see Wagner in coverage or he thought he could thread the pass over the middle to wide receiver Jason Avant without Wagner closing in time.
Regardless, it was a poor choice.
