The Seattle Seahawks are facing widespread criticism this week after drafting defensive end Frank Clark, who was arrested in November after a domestic violence incident. Many football pundits and fans have condemned general manager John Schneider and head coach Pete Carroll for taking the Michigan defensive end — especially with their first pick in this year’s draft — after domestic violence emerged as a hot-button issue across the NFL.
And particularly after Schneider, in 2012, promised the Seahawks would never draft someone who has struck a woman.
