Seattle Seahawks’ Cornerback Competition Good Sign For Final Stretch

To start the season the Seattle Seahawks had newly acquired Cary Williams starting opposite of Richard Sherman in the secondary. Williams started at the right cornerback position up until late in their Week 11 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers when DeShawn Shead who has played an integral role in the secondary for Seattle this season replaced him. Williams was not able to return to his role and Seattle eventually cut him.

Shead has been the starter at right cornerback since he replaced Williams, and started last week’s contest against the Cleveland Browns.
