The list of inactives for the Seattle Seahawks today included one big surprise — cornerback Cary Williams.
Williams was a starter for the first 10 games of the season before being benched in the third quarter last Sunday against the 49ers.
Asked on Friday how Williams had responded, coach Pete Carroll said only that “he worked hard” this week.
Williams, signed as a free agent in the off-season to a three-year contract worth $18 million, is apparently healthy as there was no mention of an injury this week.
Seattle’s other inactives today are: WR Paul Richardson, CB Tye Smith, RB Marshawn Lynch, LB Eric Pinkins, C Drew Nowak and OL Kristjan Sokoli.
