Seaside Reactions: Seahawks beat Chargers, get mostly good news on players

This week’s reaction comes after Seattle’s 23-15 victory of the Chargers in a sandbox. The Seahawks looked great running the football against LA, as they attempt to potentially build a stable of solid backs instead of receivers; think of it as the polar opposite to Gurley-Cooks-Woods-Kupp. This is Lockett-Carson-Penny-Prosise instead.

Will it work?

Well, it’ll certainly work better if the offensive line continues to play as well as it did (for the most part) on Saturday, including if Ethan Pocic is actually an NFL caliber interior lineman. Even if Mike Iupati is ready for Week 1, if Pocic is ready to sub in and play well at 3-5 positions, that changes the outlook significantly, not just for this season, but for decisions to be made in 2020.
