In the first quarter of the Seattle Seahawks' win over the Minnesota Vikings, punter Jon Ryan had trouble handling a low snap by Clint Gresham.
He took off to run but was upended and landed squarely on his face as the Vikings took over on downs. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said after the game that Ryan might have broken his nose, and that was confirmed by in a story by Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.
Ryan obviously must have been in pain, especially given the frigid temperatures, but he returned to the game and handled his normal duties.
