GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Seattle Seahawks knew during Sunday’s game they were within range of finishing as the No. 1 defense in the NFL in points allowed. It was on the minds of a few players. And the achievement would be meaningful for a defense that prides itself on being one of the elite units in the league.
Seattle gave up just six points to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and earned its prize -- finishing the season having allowed a league-low 277 points, or 17.3 points per game.
