Seahawks won't let election results divide locker room

RENTON -- Head coach Pete Carroll knew the 2016 presidential election had the potential to divide a Seahawks locker room filled with players from all over the county, so he made sure the team discussed it before Tuesday's results.

The result after Republican nominee Donald Trump's victory?

"We didn't have an uprising," Carroll joked with reporters from the Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Wednesday. "There was no uprising. It's been pretty topical. We've been gnawing on it for a long time, so it wasn't a big deal all at once."

Still, there were some players who expressed disappointment following the heated election, most notably wide receiver Doug Baldwin.
