On Oct. 15, 2018, the Seattle Seahawks lost their savior and owner, when the late Paul Allen lost his battle against non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
A little over a week later, the Seahawks have announced their plans to honor Allen during the remainder of the 2018 season. Seattle and Trailblazers chairman Bert Kolde shared this image on Friday of the jersey patch the Seahawks will wear, beginning on Sunday:
The 12th Man Flag flying above Allen’s initials is fitting, seeing as Seattle’s late owner was the one to raise the flag at all three of the team’s successful conference championship games under his ownership.
