The Seattle Seahawks announced that they’ve waived rookie OT Justin Senior with an injury designation on Monday to make room for OT Tyrus Thompson, who was signed to a contract.
Should Senior pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Tuesday.
Senior, 23, was selected with the No. 210 overall pick in this year’s NFL draft by the Seahawks. He signed a four-year, $2.53 million contract with Seattle and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
During his college career at Mississippi State, Senior made 38 starts at right tackle with one coming at left tackle.
