Seahawks waive RB Rod Smith, WR B.J. Daniels

The Seahawks waived running back Rod Smith and receiver B.J. Daniels, one move to make room for the impending signing of cornerback Crezdon Butler, and the other for a not-yet-named transaction.

Smith will likely head back to the practice squad; he was called up as emergency depth after Marshawn Lynch was unable to play and Fred Jackson was questionable with an ankle injury. Smith got two carries for five yards, one being a 3rd down conversion.

Daniels will likely end up with the team again at some point assuming he isn't signed elsewhere.
