The Seahawks opened up a pair of roster spots on Monday afternoon, waiving running back Anthony Jones and cornerback Brian Allen, the team announced.
Jones, a former FIU tailback, was signed as a UDFA following the 2020 NFL Draft. The 5’10”, 215-pound runner totaled over 2,000 yards as a collegiate while overcoming injuries suffered in a shooting.
Jones was one of two running backs to be signed by Seattle following the draft, along with Patrick Carr. Both players have now been released, with Carr and the Seahawks parting ways in the initial cut from 90 to 80.
