Seahawks waive LS Gresham, re-sign LB Pinkins

The Seattle Seahawks made two minor roster moves on Wednesday, waiving longtime long-snapper Clint Gresham and re-signing exclusive rights free agent linebacker Eric Pinkins.

Gresham, 29, played in 108 regular-season and playoff games since joining the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Christian in 2010. He tweeted his goodbye to fans after news of the release went public, thanking them for their support.

Gresham signed a three-year extension worth $2.7 million in March 2015. His release will save Seattle $660,000 against the cap in 2016.

Seattle signed former Vanderbilt long-snapper Andrew East to a futures deal in January.
